Czech Determination
Breaking Their Record
Showing their Czech heritage and pride, the Village of Prague decided to bake another kolach in the hopes of being officially published as a world record.
Too Large to Move
This kolach was going to be too large to move from the oven to get a certified weight. Instead, the Nebraska State Patrol Carrier Enforcement Division utilized their portable scales, one placed under each corner of the pan, and certified the weight at 5,200 pounds, nearly double the weight of the original.
An Achievement Worth Celebrating
Regardless of The Guinness Book of World Records official decision, the village of Prague celebrated breaking their own record with smiles, laughter, and a kolach eating contest, of course.
